This is The Landing.

A lit room in Bang Saen where Thai students belong, before they believe.

Who lands here

For most of them, it's the first time hearing the good news.

35+ Thai students fill this room twice a week. Board games, food, real friendships, and lots of opportunity to hear about Jesus.

Weekly events at The Landing

Our vision: to introduce Burapha University students to Jesus.

Students around the board game tables at Games Night
Wednesday · Games Night. For many students, this is their first night at The Landing, and the board games open the door. Walking into a Christian house can feel daunting, so guards come down over Catan and Uno, we get to know each other properly, and we play until midnight. The Landing is now home to Thailand’s number one Catan player. Our hope is simple: after a few Wednesdays, students want to find out what Friday is about.
The crowd at Friday Night at The Landing
Friday · Friday Night. Over 35 students come every week. We eat together first, dinner cooked by students who volunteer. Then a Christian song, testimonies, and a 20 to 30 minute message from the Bible. For many in the room it is the first time they have ever heard the words of Jesus or what Christians believe. This is what The Landing is all about.
The congregation at Sunday church at The Landing
Sunday · Sunday Church. We preach, we worship, we eat together and we pray for one another. The most remarkable thing about our Sundays is that over half the congregation are not yet Christians, and the number keeps growing. They come back week after week to hear more about Jesus.

Over a hundred nights a year. Three years and counting.

In their world

Life at The Landing, on Instagram and TikTok.

The world of social media is where the next generation are living. We have to be there too: invite them out of it, and introduce them to Jesus.

Why Bang Saen

The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few.

40,000+

students at Burapha University

It is time for Thailand to be introduced to Jesus. Bang Saen is a young university city one hour from Bangkok, full of students who are open, curious, and have never once been asked what they believe. We want to see thousands of them come to know Jesus.

Honest answers

The questions people ask.

Is this a long-term work, or a short project?

Long. Three years in Bang Saen, led by a Thai and British couple who live there, with no plan to leave.

Where does my money go?

Almost all of it goes into outreach, and it has for over three years: the rent on the house, meals at more than a hundred gatherings a year, and the work of reaching students. Jimmy, our church treasurer, makes sure every baht lines up with our vision of introducing Thai students to Jesus, and accounts are kept and shared with partners and trusts.

Can our church send a team?

Yes. We host teams through the year to serve the ongoing work. Start a conversation and we will find the right fit.

Do I have to give a lot?

No. Most partners give a little, monthly, and stay for years. That steadiness is what keeps the doors open.

Is it accountable?

Yes. UK giving runs through Stewardship and a registered fiscal sponsor, The Potter's Church (Charity No. 1127462).
